Victor Ailak, 79, a lifelong Alaskan who was noted as a net maker, died In Nome October 28. He was born in Wales and raised in the orphanage at Brevig Mission, and had lived in Nome since the early 1940s. He had been blind since the age of 9. This remarkable Alaskan was featured in the July 1980 issue of ALASKA, page 79. [Feb1981]
