End of the Trail

Notices in this section are limited to names of those who have achieved pioneer status through many years in the North, or who are otherwise of unquestioned importance in the daily scene.

Mrs. Theresa Bohmer, longtime nurse at Fort Yukon, died in Seattle May 18. She went to the Hudson Stuck Memorial Hospital in Fort Yukon in 1923 and served as a nurse and matron there for more than 20 years. Later she and her husband, Fred, moved to Wenatchee, and following his death she became the first resident of the Home of Alaska Friends in Seattle. [Sep1965]
