George Beaver, 77, a lifetime Alaskan, died in November in Bethel. He was born in Nanvarnarluk, and in his early years was a Bristol Bay fisherman and a steamboat captain on the Kuskokwim River. He helped develop the Yup'lk alphabet. [Apr1981]�
