Eugene "Bubbles" Westphal, 67, died at Careage House in Fairbanks November 14. He came to Alaska in 1946,/living first in Juneau and later in Tok, where he began a freighting service called Tok Distributors. "He would deliver anything from potatoes to furniture to needles to people up and down the highway," recalled the Mukluk News, He also was a mechanic, a jeweler and a barber. [Mar1981]
