Eli A. Ghete, 61, who established Anchorage's first pawnshop in 1954, died October 14 in Anchorage. He came to Anchorage In 1945 and worked on Elmendorf Air Force Base until he went into the pawnshop business, in which he worked until the time of his death. Survivors include two daughters In Anchorage. Ann Marie Ghete and Marleen S. Heald. [Mar1981]
