Ed Martin, 63, an engineer, pilot and former city manager of Fairbanks, died January 18 in Fairbanks. � He came to the territory, during World War II to help build the Army's Canol Pipeline between Haines and Fairbanks. � He had lived in or near Fairbanks since that time. � His wife, Judy, survives.
